03/26/2017 It's been awhile since I posted, but I have been making steady progress on the Pro Patria Mill. LEDs are in, and some of the roofs are attached. Several are just set in place for this photo opp. (sorry about the poor phone pics). Also, I applied a first pass on rusting up the aluminum siding, but it needs to be toned down and blended quite a bit still. Here is where I'm at now: And here it is lit up (light leaks are on set in place roofs) |
04/09/2017 Made a little more work on installing the roofing material. Got both corrugated sections done and weathered, and started laying the shake shingles. |
04/15/2017 Wow - Shake shings take a LONG time to install. I have been doing this for hours and I'm only about 1/2 way! BTW - The dormer roofs are still just set in place for the photo op. The light leaks will be gone on final assembly |
05/06/2017 OK - That ONLY took three (3) weeks to install all those shake shingles! Now I can finally move on to the other roof parts. |
05/14/2017 This is proceeding MUCH slower than anticipated. Too many other pulls on my time. At this rate I'll be lucky to finish this year! You can't really tell in these photos, but the lower roof on the tram house is now covered in shake shingles. On to the tar paper! |
05/26/2017 Finally finished the main building! Now on to the truck dump. |
08/12/2017 Mill is almost done. Working on creating the surrounding scenery. |
08/20/2017 A little more progress on Mill scenery. |
